How do you renew your annual PHRF- NW membership? How can I pay? Simple, ask yourself these questions, and then you can send a payment.

All PHRF-NW annual bills are mailed in November, please renew early.  

Please read: The office can not receive REGISTERED, PRIORITY POST, OR CERTIFIED MAIL. There is no one at the Post Office that will sign for receiving this type of mail. Your mail may end up sitting  at the Post Office behind the counter. They will not put the mail in our PO BOX.  

We will not fax your annual bill to you, or resend it. If you do not have your annual bill to accompany your renewal, simply  send the fee with a note that indicates nothing has changed on your boat from last year that affects your rating. Be sure to identify the vessel, and simply mail the renewal. 

  • Was your boat an active PHRF-NW member the previous year? (This means, did you have a valid PHRF-NW certificate for the boat for the year before?)
  • Or, if you were not active the past year, was the boat an active member the year before? (This does not include being an active member while it belonged to someone else, and it is a new boat for you, see "how do I join")
  • Has anything changed on your boat, such as sails, or any hull or equipment modifications?  Maybe a change of owners, or your address or your yacht club have changed?
  • If you send your annual payment after April 1, there is a late fee of $2.50. If you were a member either last year or the previous year, then all you need to do is mail in your annual fee of $40 US, or $40.00 Canadian for 2008,  to the office with your sail number on the payment.  If there are any changes that have occurred such as those listed above, then you need to report them to your handicapper, AND mail your payment into the office. Your handicapper and his or her contact info can be found on your previous certificate. 
  • If you have purchased a new boat, but you were an active member with a previous boat, you will need to fill out a new member application for the new boat and send it to your handicapper.
